World's Fastest Typer/Typist
According to The Guinness Book of World Records, Barbara Blackburn of Salem, Oregon is the fastest typist in the world. She held the record since 2005. During his attempt, Barbara maintained an average of 150 words per minute (WPM) for 50 minutes. Its speed is clocked at an astonishing 212 WPM. An interesting aside: Ms. Blackburn does not have his high school typing class.
The average person around 35 types WPM, if Ms. Blackburn's record appears to be an amazing feat to achieve. She worked hard at his art for many years and even used a modified keyboard called the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard System "which makes it a more effective typer.
Blackburn said, In fact, it was the Qwerty keyboard that was her undoing in high school typing class back in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
